How Much Does It Cost?

Prices are based on the size of the vehicle, your shipping timeframe, the shipping distance and your preference for an open or enclosed trailer. Seasonal volume and weather conditions can also affect quotes.

How Car-Shipping Prices Are Determined

There are a number of factors that influence the price you pay to ship a vehicle. These include, but are not limited to, vehicle size, weight, weather conditions, shipping distance, carrier type and shipping speed. Most car shipments happen during the summer months, with high-demand times causing prices to rise somewhat.

Aside from weather and seasonal demand that may be out of your control, one area where you can have an influence on the price you pay is with the trailer-type you select. Using an open trailer is much less expensive than an enclosed trailer, especially the ones that are climate controlled.

Another area where you can control the price is being open to various pick-up and delivery dates. Coordinating multiple cars in numerous locations waiting to be loaded and unloaded on a trailer is quite an undertaking. When clients set very specific collection and drop-off dates, it makes the process even more difficult, and expensive. Being flexible with your shipper can at times have an impact on the rate you pay.
