No. Carrier insurance doesn’t cover any items other than your vehicle. Also, since the drivers must stop and rest, it’s not a good idea to have any valuables visible in your vehicle because it encourages theft.

The driver may need to rearrange vehicles as some are dropped-off and others are loaded. In these instances, the driver will move your vehicle. It should not be driven for any other purposes, except if its car carrier needed a repair. It would then be loaded onto another carrier so it could continue to its destination.

Once the estimated time of arrival can be assessed you will be notified by the carrier.

No. Carrier insurance doesn’t cover anything other than your vehicle.

Drivers will not make unscheduled stops for owners to access their vehicles. However, it may be possible to access your vehicle at a scheduled stop under special circumstances.

Costs are calculated according to the type of carrier you select (such as open or enclosed), vehicle type, shipping demand, distance and weather conditions.

As long as its within the same general area it is typically not an issue. However, if it obscures from the original intended auto shipping route and destination it most likely will not be possible. 

It’s possible to designate another person for vehicle pick-up and drop-off authorization. However, if no one meets the driver, the car will not be hauled and a service fee will be applied to your account.  Additionally, if there is no one available to accept the delivery the carrier will have to find a storage facility and you would incur all fees (which can be expensive so please ensure someone is available). 

No. If your vehicle is leaking fluids it should be remedied prior to transport as it could cause damage to other vehicles if located above. Please ensure your vehicle is in good working order prior to shipping it.

No. The driver can use a winch to move your car on and off the carrier. However, this ships at a premium rate. 

You should always request a current insurance document from the carrier. Each carrier is required to carry cargo insurance to protect the vehicle once loaded onto the truck. 

If there is damage to your vehicle it should be noted on the Bill of Lading at the time of delivery. You would then work with the carrier to resolve the damage. 

Yes. Carrier drivers are trained to handle a variety of vehicles, ranging from imports to exotics to classic cars.
